A Taste of Manitoba is looking for participants that can prove they have the availability to sustain both Taste and their home base operations. It is critical to have participants that can produce at a high volume and withstand production in an outdoor environment under very restrictive conditions. Participants must perform the highest possible standard in terms of sanitation practices, proper food handling, professionalism and personnel training. We are working closely with the Manitoba Health and the majority of food preparation and cooking for Taste should take place at the participant’s normal place of business, each participant will need to make sure they have the proper arrangements in place to cook, transport and store the food in compliance with standard food sanitation practices. A careful and detailed plan and schedule should be assembled by all participants to ensure that all of the deadlines can be met pre-event.
FOOD AND MENU INFORMATION

All menu item pricing is by tickets inclusive of all tax.

Access to Plumbing and Electrical Hookups - (One (1) 40amp, 120volt circuit) per vendor

Tent Canopy

Regular use of propane gas

Access to Festival Facilities: washrooms, kitchen prep area, and waste removal services

Parking Space available for a additional fee.

PAYMENT INFORMATION
with 3% registration fee
1. Booth space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Registration fees are non-refundable.
3. Restaurants must adhere to Manitoba health and safety regulations during the event.
4. Participation is contingent on active MRFA membership.

Participation is exclusive to MRFA member restaurants.

Restaurants will be selected based on cuisine variety, creativity, and commitment to showcasing Manitoba's local flavors.

We are also seeking representation from restaurants located outside Winnipeg to ensure a true “Taste of Manitoba” experience.
RESTAURANTS PROVIDE

Menu Creation: Providing 3 unique items (with descriptions and pricing) by April 30th 2025

Staffing: Ensuring your tent has adequate staffing for the full duration of the event

Food Supplies: Bringing all ingredients, prepared items, cooking supplies, and utensils
-
Permits and Licenses: Meeting all food safety and handling requirements

Equipment: All cooking equipment, utensils, and any unique displays or setups beyond what’s included

Promotion: Supporting the festival through your social media and networks
REGISTRATION FEE

$3,250 + 500 tickets per restaurant(10x10 tent space)
-
$4,000 + 500 tickets per restaurant (10x20 tent space)

Full payment is required by May 31st 2025 to confirm participation

HOW WE PROFIT

Revenue Opportunity: Sell directly to event attendees with 75% of ticket sales from your food going back to you (A Taste of Manitoba retains a 25% cut).

Tickets will be accounted for by the auditing committee on September 2/3rd and the checks will be drafted within 48 hrs.
HOW TO APPLY

2. Submit your menu items and concept details by April 30th 2025
3. Make payment arrangements by May 31st 2025
